A SUDDEN increase of passengers delayed Metro Line 1 yesterday morning, during the first rush hour after the Spring Festival transport peak started on Sunday.

The Metro operator confirmed a sharp increase in passengers heading for Shanghai's two railway stations, both of which lie on Metro Line 1, which choked up services at around 9:30am.
