100 quake victims invited to Philippines

PHILIPPINES President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has invited 100 children from areas hit by the Sichuan earthquake to visit the country next week, China News Service reported on its Website.

The children will fly to the Philippines on Sunday and return to China on January 18.

Students from areas that suffered the most damage from the May 12 earthquake had previously been invited to visit Russia and Hungary, the report said.
