FIRE broke out in a carriage of a train from Beijing to Moscow yesterday but there were no casualties.
The fire broke out at about 3pm in a power unit at the end of the MT3528 train shortly after it left Puziwan station in Datong City, Shanxi Province, firefighters said.
The driver immediately stopped the train and the blazing car was separated from passenger carriages.
The fire was put out at 5:35pm and its cause is being investigated. The train was still at the station last night.
