CHINA will offer US$1 million in cash to the Palestinians for emergency humanitarian aid after Israeli attacks killed more than 370 people and injured around 1,600 in Gaza.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said yesterday that China urges all sides to "immediately halt armed conflict" and adopt measures to relieve the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

China voiced concern over the escalation of tension in the region immediately following the strikes, condemning any move that leads to civilian casualties and called on the parties to resolve their dispute through dialogue.
