Thief jailed for bus attack

THE Jing'an District People's Court sentenced Li Qinglin, a Jiangxi Province native, to 10 years yesterday for injuring two passengers after being caught stealing on a bus.

On April 11, Li, 24, was part of a gang of thieves working on a bus. Li was caught by a passenger surnamed Wang. When the bus reached the bus station, gang members pushed Wang and his companions off and beat him. Li took out a knife to stab Wang and his son, injuring them both.
