PARIS will duplicate the scenary of Seine via a multimedia approach to let World Expo visitors experience a modern, innovative and high-quality lifestyle in the French capital at the Urban Best Practices Area of World Expo 2010, officials announced yesterday.

The exhibit, entitled "Paris - Ile de France: A River, A Territory, A Lifestyle," will be jointly presented by the city of Paris, Ile de France (the Paris Region) and the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The display, at UBPA's "Livable Cities" section, will show images of Paris parks and gardens, cultural sites, eco-friendly buildings, high-tech transportation, as well as urban facilities and social amenities among others to present a charming and livable city.

Hong Hao, director of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, and Jean-Vincent Place, president of the Paris and Ile de France Expo 2010 Shanghai Association, signed the official participation contract yesterday in Shanghai.

With a site of more than 15 hectares, UBPA offers a stage for cities around the world to propose their solutions to various urban issues.
