NEWSPAPER EDITION
CHINA'S aviation regulator has decided to delay the relaxation of rules governing carry-on liquids, lighters and matches.
The revised rules were scheduled to take effect today, but the regulator said yesterday that it will maintain the present restrictions for the time being, without stating a reason for the change in plans.
The revised rule would allow passengers to take up to 1 liter of non-flammable liquids with them on the plane, as long as they were in separate containers each holding no more than 100 milliliters. The new rule would also allow passengers to take a lighter or box of matches on the plane.
