THE 2010 World Expo construction site will be one of the pilot areas for a crackdown by the Pudong government on the illegal dumping of earth from construction projects.

Cleanup and transport companies will be paid by builders only after they have transported the leftover earth to official dumps. The scheme aims to end the illegal dumping of earth.
