JIADING District prosecutors yesterday charged a suspect surnamed Wang, with stabbing a man over an elevator incident. On October 8, Wang was taking a building elevator when a drunken Mr Cheng arrived, authorities said.

Disgusted with the man's behavior, Wang tried to close the lift doors and stop him from entering. This angered Cheng, who started fighting. Wang then stabbed Cheng with a knife he carried in his bag, prosecutors said.
