A PREMIER League winner's medal thrown by Jose Mourinho to Chelsea fans sold on Wednesday for 21,600 pounds (US$32,500) at auction in northern England.

An unnamed telephone bidder bought the medal which the Portuguese coach tossed into the Stamford Bridge crowd after the 2006 title was clinched by beating Manchester United 3-0.
