Father detained for forcing daughter into prostitution

A FATHER has been taken into custody for forcing his 13-year-old daughter into prostitution in Fujian Province.

The daughter has also accused the 43-year-old man of raping her in July although police have not confirmed the allegation due to a lack of evidence, Fujian-based Strait News reported today.

The Chongqing native girl went to Quanzhou City in Fujian with a companion of her cousin in the summer to visit her father surnamed Chen, who had just been released from prison for drug trafficking.

Chen was not happy to see his daughter and asked her to work to earn money for him, the report said.

In July, Chen allegedly raped his daughter and tried to force her into prostitution. However few men were willing to pay to have sex with the girl due to her young age, the newspaper said.

The ex-convict then sent his daughter to a massage parlor, where she befriended a woman named Xiao Mei.

Xiao felt sorry for Hua and eventually took her to a game store in Nan’an City, Fujian.

Chen reported to police that his daughter was abducted by Xiao. However after police found the girl in Nan’an, she told officer’s what her father had done, the report said.

The man didn’t know his daughter had snitched on him and was caught by officers when he returned to a police station to fetch his daughter, according to the report.

The newspaper said Chen is a loafer so that his wife left him after giving birth to Hua. Hua was brought up by her grandparents in Chongqing.
