An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale jolted Haicheng Prefecture in northeast China's Liaoning Province at 6:53 am (Beijing time) today, according to a monitoring provided by the Chinese seismological observatory.
The epicenter of the earthquake was monitored around 10 kilometers deep below sea level and 40.6 degrees north latitude, 122.9 degrees east longitude.
OFFICIALS say a strong earthquake sent panicked residents fleeing from their homes in central Indonesia, but there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries. The US Geological Survey says the quake today...
