THE Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate People's Court yesterday ordered a telecom company, China Tietong, to pay 20,000 yuan (US$2,924) in compensation to painter Liu Danzhai for infringing his copyright and to publish an apology in the Xinmin Evening News.
Liu said China Tietong had printed his sketches on its prepaid telecom cards without his permission.
