Motorcyclist killed in collision with truck

ONE person was killed and another two were injured when a container truck crashed into a motorcycle this morning on Lianhua Road S. in Shanghai’s Minhang District, Xinmin.cn reported.

The motorcyclist was killed instantly and two female passengers he was carrying were sent to Minhang District Central Hospital for treatment, the report said. One woman had fractured feet and the other had a head injury, but both were expected to recover, it said.

The truck driver and his three passengers fled the scene after the crash.

According to the report, the accident occurred when the truck turned left and smashed into the motorcycle, which was going in the same direction,
