CHINA Guodian Corp, the nation's third-biggest electricity producer, said its five power plants in Shandong Province are operating at full capacity to help ease the province's worst electricity shortage in 10 years.

Output has hit 3.6 billion kilowatt-hours since July, 464.8 million kwh more than planned, the Beijing-based utility said in a statement yesterday.
