AUSTRALIA'S Tour de France runner-up Cadel Evans has withdrawn from the time-trial at the Beijing Olympics after injuring his knee when he slipped on a wet floor at a team dinner after the Tour de France on Sunday.
Evans said the injury was not serious and he was still hoping to compete in the road race but was withdrawing from the time-trial as a precaution.
Cycling Australia officials said three-time world champion Michael Rogers would take his place in the event.
