Storms forecast to soak city

HEAVY rain and thunderstorms are expected to hit the city today, tomorrow and Saturday, according to the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.

Today's temperature will range from 26 degrees Celsius to 34 degrees.

The rain is expected to stop late on Saturday, but it will remain cloudy, the bureau said.

A subtropical high pressure system will move into the city early next week, bringing sunny and hot weather. The temperature will rise to 35 or 36 degrees, the bureau said.
