Mongolian president lifts state of emergency in capital

MONGOLIAN President Nambaryn Enkhbayar declared late Saturday night that the four-day state of emergency in the country's capital of Ulan Bator was lifted as of midnight yesterday local time.
Enkhbayar said the state of emergency soon calmed down the Tuesday's riots and kept the order of society. He hoped the parties of Mongolia to deal with the disputed issues of parliament election with rule of laws.

The armed forces of Mongolia have pulled out of the main streets of the city. The measures including curfew, restriction of the traffic movement have been lifted.

Mongolia's parliamentary elections were held last Sunday. The Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party (MPRP) won the election. Supporters of the Democratic Party and other parties marched on Tuesday in protest against alleged voting fraud in the elections and the protests at last turned to riots.

Five people were killed and more than 300 others injured in the riots. Mongolian president declared a four-day state of emergency in the capital from Wednesday. The state of Ulan Bator has calmed down now.

The parties, who had seats in the parliament, agreed to deal with the Tuesday's riots and the alleged voting fraud of the parliamentary election with rule of laws. They haven't reached any agreements until now.
