A HEADMASTER and a building contractor were arrested yesterday over the collapse of a school wall in southwestern Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Four students died and another eight were injured in the incident at Liubao Town, Cangwu County, about 5pm on June 16.

The school's headmaster, Wu Yuanming, and building contractor Li Qinghua will be prosecuted, local authorities said.

Another 14 people, including a deputy head of the county government and four local education officials, received administrative punishment.
