SUNNY and cloudy weather is expected to return to the city from today, when the plum rain season officially ends.

Maximum temperatures will reach 36 to 37 degrees Celsius, weather forecasters said. Thunderstorms may hit late on Sunday but this is expected to be the only rainfall for the next five days, said the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.
