Japanese PM to attend Olympics opening ceremony

JAPANESE Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda has decided to attend the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games, Kyodo News reported today.

Fukuda will take a 19-seat airplane of Japan's Air Self-Defense Force and arrive in Beijing on August 8, said the report, citing government sources.
