Boiler explosion injures worker

A DIESEL-FUELED boiler exploded this morning at China Spring Factory in Shanghai's Baoshan District, injuring one worker.

The accident happened about 8am when a worker was standing beside the boiler.

Doctors at Changhai Hospital said that he is in critical condition after he received burns to 98% of his body.

The factory is owned by Shanghai Automotive Company Ltd and mainly makes metal springs for cars.
