Vehicle collision kills 11 in Jiangsu

A FARM vehicle collided with a mini-bus yesterday morning in Huai'an, Jiangsu Province, killing 11 people and injuring one other, Xinhuanet.com reported

The accident occurred on a highway in Jinhu County at 9:50am. Four people were killed on the spot, two were pronounced dead en route to hospital and the other five died despite receiving emergency treatment, the report said.

The identities of the victims remained unclear and the report did not mention the condition of the injured person.

The cause of the accident was still being investigated and a special check on the use of farm vehicles has been carried out throughout the province, the report said.
