GERMAN chemical maker Lanxess announced its first acquisition in China this morning.
It will acquire two production units in Shanghai's Jinshan District from previous partner Jinzhuo Chemicals Co.
With the acquisition, Lanxess will expand global production capacity for inorganic pigments by 5 percent.
Lanxess had already leased one production unit since 2007.
