Seepage cause roads to subside in Hongkou

SEEPAGE at a Metro Line 10 construction site in Hongkou District caused nearby roads to subside yesterday, Eastday.com reported.

The incident took place at the Siping Road and Tianshui Road intersection. Water and sand leaked out of the underground construction site, the report said.

Police were called and traffic was snarled on Siping Road for vehicles heading north, the report said.

By 10pm yesterday the emergency had been brought under control.
