BUDDHISTS in Longhua Temple have suggested bringing Buddhist relics known as Sariras to Shanghai for enshrinement during the 2010 Expo in an effort to strengthen the protection of non-material cultural heritage.

Zhou Hanmin, vice chairman of the Shanghai CPPCC asked the temple to put together a proposal before September.
