-- Adverstisement --

THE arrest of Liu Yufei, who allegedly caused a traffic accident in which three people were killed and seven others injured, was approved, said the Baoshan District Prosecutors' Office.

On May 6, Liu allegedly was driving a truck on the Outer Ring Road when it crashed into a concrete guard rail. The truck's container fell and crushed 10 gardeners who were taking a break at the roadside. Three died and seven were injured.

According to a police report, Liu was fully responsible for the accident because the truck's brakes failed to work and it wasn't registered.
