Entertainment venue blast kills 1 in Zhejiang

ONE person was killed and at least six others were injured after an explosion at an entertainment venue last night in Yiwu, Zhejiang Province, according to Xinhuanet.com.

Police confirmed it was a criminal case, but did not provide any further information saying the investigation was still ongoing, the report said.

The identities of the victims were still unknown. The injured remain in critical condition.

Witnesses said the explosion happened at 8:40pm when dozens of villagers gathered at the open-air site to dance and take part in other entertainment activities.
