Shanghai gives more tents to quake areas

SHANGHAI yesterday donated 60,000 more tents to earthquake-stricken areas in Sichuan, Gansu and Shaanxi Provinces, Jiefang Daily reported today.

Ten-thousand tents were sent to Tianshui in Gansu Province yesterday. It is expected the victims there can receive them tonight. The other 50,000 tents will be sent out before the end of this month.

Previous reports said Shanghai had already donated more than 100,000 tents. It will offer 78,000 more this month, the newspaper reported.
