HONGKOU District Prosecutors' Office has ratified the arrest of a Shandong Province native for rape.

Chang Qing, 24, allegedly raped a young woman on May 6 this year in a lane. Prosecutors said Chang, who worked at a local technology company, liked visiting adult Websites and was addicted to pornographic videos.

On May 6, Chang contacted a woman for massage and met her on a street corner. Chang allegedly carried a knife to meet the victim, Xiao Juan, and led her into a dark lane. He allegedly threatened her with the knife and raped her.

Prosecutors said Xiao shouted for help but gave up after realising no one was around. But residents living on the first floor heard Xiao's cries and called the police.
