Carpenter jailed for theft

THE Songjiang District People's Court sentenced Zhao Tao, a 22-year-old carpenter, to seven years in prison for attempted theft.
On January 13, Zhao used a hammer to hit an automatic teller machine to access money. He was caught in the act by police assistants. The machine destroyed was valued at 95,400 yuan and the ATM contained 164,100 yuan.
