A CANADIAN Olympic diver jumped into a frigid river in Alberta, Calgary, on Monday to rescue a pregnant woman trapped inside her sinking car. Jeff Liberty was in a dog park when he saw Shannon Roberts' car crash through the fence and over the embankment. Liberty, 23, who took part in the Sydney Olympics, stripped to his boxers and dived into the river. Not able to touch the bottom of the river, he banged on the window and told the woman to roll it down. Roberts got it down part way and Liberty reached in to roll it down more and finally pulled her out. He was in the water for more than five minutes.
