ALEX Hales and Michael Lumb shared an unbroken 143-run opening partnership to guide England to a 10-wicket win over New Zealand yesterday in Wellington, clinching the three-game Twenty20 series 2-1. Hales struck 80 from 42 balls and Lumb 53 from 34 in a record first-wicket stand which saw England take only 12.4 overs to surpass New Zealand's total of 139-8.
