OLYMPIC and world champion Kaillie Humphries of Canada bounced back to win a women's bobsled World Cup event on Friday and hand German rival Cathleen Martini her first defeat on the Koenigssee course in three years.
Martini beat Humphries last week in Altenberg but the Canadian and her brakewoman Chelsea Valois powered down in snowy conditions for a comfortable win, their sixth victory in seven races this season. Sandra Kiriasis of Germany was third. Noelle Pikus-Pace of the United States, a former world champion, won the women's skeleton race.
