A farmer set off three explosions this morning near two government buildings in east China's Jiangxi Province and five people were injured in the blasts, Xinhua reported today.

The farmer in Fuzhou City was reportedly venting his anger at a court ruling. He set off the first car bomb in the parking area of the city's Linchuan District prosecutors building at 9:18am, then another one at the district government building at 9:29am and the third one near the local drug administration office at 9:45am.

Big plumes of smoke rose from the three sites as shown in pictures posted on Weibo.com by witnesses. Windows in nearby buildings were shattered in the blasts.

A nearby resident said the floors of his building shook as if in an earthquake when the blast happened.

There is no immediate report about deaths in the three explosions.

Police imposed traffic control on roads near the three buildings and a 300-meter-long section of Nanchuan Road near the district government building has been blocked.
