A college student jumped to his death from a building at Shanghai Industry and Commerce Foreign Language College in the Pudong New Area yesterday morning. School authorities said the student, surnamed Sun, was a freshmen majoring in Spanish. He jumped from the fifth floor of the No. 1 Building about 7:45am when other students were doing early morning studies in the classroom. Witnesses said Sun was reading his cellphone on the corridor and suddenly threw it down, climbed up the balcony and jumped to his death.
