A young teacher who became Aunt Sally for calling her students bastard, bitch and stupid pig has apologized for her offensive words.

The 27-year-old teacher surnamed Yuan abused her students in a public school in Songjiang District, a Weibo user tweeted yesterday and attached snapshots of Yuan's Weibo page that contained the photo of a nude Western woman and offensive words like idiot and bitch.

Yuan was overwhelmed by online criticism and quickly closed her Weibo account. She then opened a new one and offered her apology: "I am so sorry for my inappropriate language. It's wrong to call students like that. I will draw a lesson from this. Please forgive me," she wrote.

However, she said she didn't mean nasty toward her students. She just felt those words were cute nicknames. "I had three classes in a row today and felt relieved when seeing Christmas gift offered by these little bastards," as she wrote in a Weibo post.

Her schoolmaster Zhou Xiufang also supported her claim, saying Yuan always used her own money to buy gifts for students. "But it is inappropriate to use these nicknames online," Zhou added.
