A free public laboratory was established at the Jing'an Science and Technology Museum on Changping Road to offer high-tech interactive experiences for ordinary people.
It is the first such science laboratory in the city, which allows people to have a hands-on experience of the Internet and its implications.
Visitors can learn about an intelligent community information network and try blood-pressure measuring devices in the laboratory where experts will hold regular lectures.
The laboratory is open Monday to Saturday. More information can be found at its website www.i-smartcity.org.
