Robbery fugitive caught by Shanghai railway police

Shanghai railway police said they seized a fugitive who fled five years ago after committing a robbery in the neighboring Jiangsu Province. He has been handed over to Jiangsu police for investigation.

The suspect, surnamed Gu, robbed a clothes store of 800 yuan in Kunshan City in January 2007, police said.

The 29-year-old fugitive was caught at the Kunshan Railway Station on November 27 as he tried to take a train to nearby Suzhou City, police said.

The man had been divorced and was working as a marketing manager for an alcohol company, the police added.
