At least 3 students killed in Anhui tornado

AT least three primary school students have been killed in China's eastern Anhui Province when a tornado hit the area and toppled two classrooms this morning, Xinhua news agency reported.

The students were preparing for the coming terminal examination in a primary school in Sixian, a small county in the provinces northeastern area, around 7:30am when gale winds swept the region.

The wind left more than 27 injured. Rescue work is still under way.
