Mei Zuen, former member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC Hubei Committee and deputy director of the economic committee of the CPPCC, has been sacked and expelled from the Party.
An investigation by the Party’s discipline inspection agency found Mei took advantage of his position to seek profits for others, accepted bribes and led huge loss to state property.
Mei has been transferred to judicial departments and faces a criminal investigation.
