Xi reiterates 'One Country, Two Systems' in HK

CHINESE President Xi Jinping listened to a work report from Hong Kong Special Administration Region chief Leung Chun-ying Wednesday and he sent New Year wishes to the residents of Hong Kong.
Xi also affirmed his government's implementation of the "One Country, Two Systems" policy in Hong Kong and emphasized that the central government insists on that principle.
Xi also pointed out that Hong Kong should seize the opportunities for development under the 13th Five-Year Plan. Xi added that to keep a stable and secure society, and to seek development are the hope of the Hong Kong people and the main task of the SAR government.
Xi also met with Chui Sai On, the Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region. Xi said the central government pays close attention to Macao's prosperous development and Macao can play a role in the "One Belt One Road" Initiative.
