CHINA'S weather authority says the strongest cold front affecting the country in the second half of the year has ended. The cold front swept a large part of China over the past few days, bringing strong winds, sharp temperature drops and even early snowfall.

Although temperatures in some areas have begun to climb since this morning, there are still snowfalls in provinces in Northeast China and North China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. And the eastern part of Heilongjiang province will see heavy snow.

Rain continues to fall in South China.
