Police: Driver, plowing into 3 cars and killing 2, was traveling at 195.2kph

POLICE have updated and released new information regarding the Shi Yang Road BMW car accident case. The BMW car, which sped past the Shi Yang Road and Jiao Tan Road crossroad and demolished three vehicles in the eastern city of Nanjing, was traveling at a speed of 195.2 kilometers per hour.

Police have identified the culprit to be Wang Jijin.

This tragic car accident took place on June 20, at 1:53pm, right in the middle of the Dragon Boat Festival.

The Shaanxi Licensed BMW 7-series sedan was reported to have bolted past the left turning lane despite a red light at high speeds, clearly violating the speeding limits, and smashed into a Mazda car, which was cruising normally.

The excessively rapid velocity, in which the BMW sedan crashed into the Mazda car, caused the Mazda car to immediately break upon impact, sending its scatter parts flying all over the place.

A witness reported that after hearing a deafening explosion like noise, he caught sight of a component of the Mazda car flying over the roof of a bus.

The disastrous car crash instantly took away the lives of the Mazda car's male driver and his female passenger sitting right next to him, Yangtze Evening Post reported.

However, the BMW sedan did not stop there. After completely defacing the Mazda car, it collided with a taxi and a bus, injuring the taxi driver. Wang left the site of accident in wreckage as he abandoned his vehicle and fled from the police. He was captured afterwards.

The question of why the BMW sedan was traveling at such high speech is currently still in debate. The foremost confusing part of the accident was that when the police took a blood sample of the driver of the BMW sedan for examination, they discovered that the driver in fact wasn's drunk during the accident.

Currently, Wang is in police custody and is fully responsible of all series of damages caused.
