Hospital dormitory stabbing spree leaves 7 dead

A young man killed 7 hospital workers and wounded another in a stabbing spree early this morning in Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province.

Police said they had arrested Li Xiaolong, 27, who they suspect killed six nurses and a janitor in the female dormitory of No. 281 Hospital in Qinhuangdao’s Beidaihe District.

Police said they were notified of the attack at 3:26am.

The wounded victim is in a stable condition, police added.

Officers said it was too soon to say what prompted the attack.
