Beijing prosecutors ratify the arrest of Jackie Chan’s son over drug abuse
BEIJING prosecutors today ratified the arrest of film star Jackie Chan’s son, Jaycee, accusing him of providing place for others to take drugs.
Jaycee Chan, 31, was caught by police with Kai Ko, a 23-year-old actor from Taiwan on August 14 in a foot massage parlor and later raided Chan’s apartment in the capital’s Dongcheng District.
Jaycee Chan’s and Ko’s urine tests later showed they had taken marijuana, and the two confessed to having used the drug, police said.
Police said they also seized more than 100 grams of marijuana from Jaycee Chan’s apartment.
Jaycee Chan had been since under criminal detention for allowing others to take drugs in his apartment and Ko was held under administrative detention for taking drugs. Ko had been released.
