Ancient teeth found in China rewrite human history

HUMAN history in China is being re-written. 47 teeth found in a county in central China's Hunan Province indicate the presence of the early form of our species, modern homo sapiens, more than 80,000 years ago.
The fossils were excavated by an international team of biologists led by Chinese scientists from Fuyan Cave in Daoxian county. These findings represent the earliest evidence for homo-sapiens outside of Africa, dating back from 80,000 to 120,000 years.
The research was published in the Thursday edition of the journal Nature. These results will help the study of origin and migration of modern humans in the region.
Scientists believe that Homo sapiens first emerged in East Africa between 160,000 to 190,000 years ago. Other findings of the early form of the species were also found in northern China and New South Wales, which could date back to as early as 50,000 years ago.
Homo sapiens only made entry into Europe 45,000 years ago, as the fossils found so far suggest.
