4 Americans, 2 New Zealanders, 1 Sierra Leonean and 1 Malian arrested in Beijing for drug offenses

EIGHT foreigners in Beijing have been arrested for drug offenses in April, Beijing authorities announced today.

The state anti-drug authority announced 6pm today that police in Beijing's Chaoyang District arrested the eight foreigners last month after receiving tips from local residents, Beijing News reported.

The suspects include four from the United States, 2 New Zealanders, one from Sierra Leone and another from Mali.

Two of them have been arrested for using marihuana and put under administrative detention while the others are under arrest for criminal offenses including providing venues for others to use drugs, drug sales and illegally holding drugs.
