Four to face corruption trials

SEVERAL procuratorates have filed for two former senior officials and two former chairmen of state-owned enterprises to stand trial, the Supreme People’s Procuratorate said yesterday.

Ai Baojun, a former vice mayor of Shanghai, will stand trial for embezzle­ment and taking bribes after a probe by Zhangzhou Municipal People’s Procuratorate in Fujian Province.

Pan Yiyang, a former vice chairman of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region government, is charged by the First Branch of Tianjin Municipal People’s Procuratorate with accepting and giving bribes.

Guangzhou Municipal People’s Procuratorate accuses Song Lin, a former China Resources Group chair­man, of embezzlement and taking bribes.

Deng Qilin, a former Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corp chairman, is charged by the Foshan Munici­pal People’s Procuratorate in south China’s Guangdong Province with tak­ing bribes.
