Lower prices at tourist attractions
More than 100 major tourist attractions across China are lowering admission fees with the approach of the winter season.
Entrance to Beijing’s Forbidden City will cost 40 yuan (US$6) from November 1 to March 31, down from 60 yuan. Tickets for the Potala Palace in Lhasa and the Mogao Caves in northwest China’s Gansu Province will both be half the previous 200 yuan from November 1 to April 30. Mount Huangshan in Anhui Province, Mount Tai in Shandong Province, and Mount Emei in Sichuan Province will also cut prices.
